110 ~ Kristine Irwin “All you need is you.”

April 25, 2019

  • "I was in that part of my life where there was that feeling of being invincible."
  • "I still felt an overwhelming feeling of shame and guilt wash over me."
  • "I may not ever find my answer but the biggest thing I could do for myself was just forgive him."
  • "I want children to grow up in a world where they are comfortable talking about these things."

"All you need is you."
~ Kristine Irwin

A courageous beacon of hope in the darkest of journeys, Kristine Irwin illuminates her path amongst a tumultuous life experience. Survivor, victor and fierce advocate, Kristine founded Voices of Hope out of the depths of healing from a sexual assault as a young teenager. Her raw, heartfelt story of perseverance and victim advocacy will bring you to tears of sorrow, joy and the hope reminding people that they are not alone.

“I was in that part of my life where there was that feeling of being invincible.” It was someone she knew, someone she trusted, someone who was the last person on earth she would have thought could devastate her world. Listen in as Kristine describes the leap of faith she took by going out of her comfort zone in an effort to begin her healing process.

Voices of Hope was inspired by Kristine’s children. “I want children to grow up in a world where they are comfortable talking about these things.” A sanctuary, a respite, an organization where victims become victors finding a way to voice their experiences and heal. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month, thank you Kristine…for reminding people they are not alone!
